This tore and wore out within 5 months of buying it. The beveled edge was worn away in two weeks and it has torn in multiple spots.

As far as when or how a ring gets damaged, there can be a lot of different reasons for that. It really just depends on how people use their hands & what the ring gets exposed to every day. I love this ring. It is my second in this color. I lost a lot of weight and lost my first so I ordered this one to replace it. I also have other colors of the same ring so I can trade off.
